We are looking for a visionary leader to join our Parks and Recreation team as the Open Spaces and Recreation Strategic Advisor on a permanent full-time basis.

You will be tasked with providing strategic advice, leadership and support that ensures the effective development and future planning of our parks and recreation portfolio, achieving Council's strategic goals and ensuring we are providing exceptional open spaces across the community.

To be successful in this position you will hold a tertiary qualification at degree level in Parks / Recreation / Leisure management or similar business and a wealth of experience in the field of Horticulture, Asset Management, Parks and Reserves Management.

Demonstrated project management experience and a minimum of three years in a leadership role, encouraging and managing staff is also essential.

It goes without say that you will be politically astute with the ability to 'think outside the box' to identify innovative and forward-thinking opportunities.

Your exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, will showcase your ability to liaise at all levels and across a diverse audience.
