Great opportunity to join an innovative Global Animal Health company in a Regional role

Exciting Permanent Full-Time role to be could be based in Australia / NZ, China or Singapore or other major companion animal market in the region

Use your Direct To Customer and digital marketing expertise to support strategic expansion into Asia Pacific markets

THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to global growth phase with our connected pet products focusing in new markets and products in 2021, this newly created role requires a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset to refine and implement the go to market strategy for our enhanced Companion Animal products in the region alongside the Animal Health biological and pharmaceutical portfolios.

This role is integral to the group’s focus on delivering enhanced pet care through the use of technology and data specific to the wellbeing of the individual pet.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Reporting to the Global Marketing Manager in the UK and working closely with the local and regional teams, the successful candidate will expand the business across the region, including into new markets (e.

g. Japan, South Africa) and drive new and improved business in existing geographies (Australia and New Zealand)

Implement go to market strategies in the defined markets

Analysis of market trends and competitor activity to develop winning product positionings

Translation of technical product details into must-have benefits for pet owners

Development of compelling product messaging for use across multiple marketing channels

Creation of product marketing campaign and asset packs for roll out to country-based marketing teams

Coordination of new product launches regionally

Supporting country marketing teams in the development and implementation of product marketing plans and launches

Development of joint marketing programs with external partners

Evaluation of projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers

Collation of market trends, customer feedback and product requests to feed into new product development, lifecycle management and app development projects.

Work with the global sales and marketing teams to regionalize the existing collateral for use by new customers

Manage local marketing and PR agencies as appropriate.

Forecast required inventory and work with the production team to ensure availability.

Assist in the management and setup of local end consumer customer service as needed by local market

Develop the local E-Commerce site and business in conjunction with the global and local teams

Develop a strategic approach to other Asian markets for future expansion

Around 35% travel may be required for this role including internationally across the region

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related

Solid (3-5+) years of experience as a Product Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, Digital consumer manager or similar

  • Proven track record of successfully launching consumer products into the market to on and off-line retailers in pet channel in APAC region is highly desirable;
  • Will also consider those experienced in consumer-orientated industries (eg. FMCG, Consumer Healthcare etc)

    Detailed retail and digital marketing experience : Direct To Customer (DTC) and via E-commerce partners

    Experience of directing the development of integrated marketing communications

    Hands-on and collaborative work style

    Experience in an international / global role and ability work across cultures is an advantage

    Experience in Internet Of Things (IOT) and / or consumer subscription product marketing a bonus

    Strong business & financial acumen (P&L) is desirable

    Fluency in business English (written and verbal). Knowledge of one or more local language would be advantageous

    Strong collaboration skills and ability to present and influence at all organizational levels including peer level cross-functional teams as well as executive management

    Self-starter and be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities

    Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills with experience of conducting strategic market analysis
