    About the Team

    Social Service Accreditation (SSA) provides an accreditation service by assessing social service providers contracted by, Oranga Tamariki, Corrections, Ministry of Justice, Housing and Urban Development, Ministry of Pacific peoples and MSD.

    The purpose of Social Services Accreditation is to provide government and communities with independent assurance that social service providers can deliver safe, quality services to New Zealanders.

    The group supports the establishment, development and management of relationships with communities and service delivery providers to ensure the delivery of a network of high-quality community based social services that improve the outcomes for communities and families.

    About the Role

    We are looking for Project Manager to support the procurement and implementation of a new technology solution that will replace a 14 year old legacy system which is not fit for purpose a new The existing system is, in essence, a customer relationship management system that is used by SSA to manage the accreditation processes and relationships with organisations that provide services to the social sector.

    The current system is 14 years old, not fit for purpose and it is time for it to be retired and an RFP for a new system to be carried out.

    You will be part of a dynamic and supportive Social Services Accreditation team, working with a project team to deliver this business-critical piece of systems change.

    The project has a very aggressive timeframe

    Skills & Experience

    In order to succeed in this role, you will have :

  • Proven experience in managing contracts and contractual relationships with external vendors
  • Experience developing team business processes, templates and systems
  • Proven experience in a project management role that manages and ensures the delivery of system changes, ideally within the public service
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills which support you to ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial data and information, cost out all options and support recommendations with quantitative data
  • Innovative problem-solving, a can-do' attitude and an adaptable, responsive approach
  • Exceptional relationship management and influencing skills to proactively direct projects
  • Sound knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
  • Experience in passing on project management skills and knowledge to other managers of projects and colleagues
  • This is a rewarding fixed term contract position for a self-motivated and results driven person. Most importantly, you will have a great work ethic, attitude and be a team player.

    Remuneration for this position is $100,000 - $120,000
