    The Clinical Records Service provides health information for inpatient and outpatients, research and reference. Our talented team of Clinical Records staff deliver accurate, thorough information for the health of our region.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to join our supportive team of seventeen.

    About the opportunity

    Clinical Records is looking for a reliable, positive, dynamic person to join our team working rostered shifts. Upon starting you will receive comprehensive training to support your development.

    The Clinical Records service operates 24 / 7, this particular role is on a rotating roster within the close-knit shift work team of five, working predominantly afternoon shifts (3pm 11pm) and covering on night shifts (11pm-7am) Monday to Sunday including weekends and public holidays.

    Standard penal rates as per the MECA will apply.

    This fast paced role has a strong focus on records and information management including paper patient records, use of electronic systems and interactions with health professionals both internal and external to the Southern DHB.

    About you

    You will have a proven ability to deal with confidential / sensitive information, strong communication skills (oral & written) and be a reliable and enthusiastic team player with the ability to multitask.

    To be successful in this role you will need to have :

  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Strong attention to detail at all times
  • A positive, can-do / problem solving attitude
  • Relevant administrative work experience
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology would be a bonus
  • The salary for this position is between $45,720 and $46,894 per annum and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
