  • We invite you to join the Kari Centre, an exciting and dynamic Child and Adolescent Mental Health outpatient service that provides assessment and therapy to children, young people, and their families within the central Auckland area.

    The Kari Centre has a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and training, and is dedicated to offering opportunities for career development.

    We offer internal and external training packages, including formal post-graduate training, for new staff skill development as well as support for experienced clinicians who wish to build on their existing skills.

    We have a vacancy on our Intake Team for a qualified mental health professional with experience working with young people and their families.

    Our Intake team provides brief mental health assessments with young people and their families to help establish their needs when first referred to Kari Centre, acute assessments for young people in crisis, at times brief therapeutic interventions, and consult liaison services with professionals and organisations in the community.

    Nga Pūkenga Motuhake Important Skills

    We will consider applications from experienced registered Mental Health Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists registered with a New Zealand professional board with a current Practicing Certificate or eligible for the same.

    Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a CAMHS setting and work well as part of a team and under pressure.

    As this is a community role, a full and clean driver’s licence is required.
