What we do

Our Managed Isolation and QuarantineFacilities (MIQFs) team are the real heroes at the front line of our borders. They are are doing an incredible job day in and day out, keeping COVID out of ourcommunity.

The team is now looking for additional resource to provide wellbeingsupport to the guests across the facilities.

The Role : Where you fitin

As part of our wideCOVID-19 response, you will be responsible for ensuring provision ofappropriate psychosocial’ and other support to foster and maintain thewellbeing of our guests in the MIQFs.

In this role, you will be responsible for :

  • Actively creating anenvironment where guests feel welcomed, valued and cared for
  • Monitoring and reporting thegeneral wellbeing of guests to relevant clinical and support staff and / or otherTeam Leaders.
  • Appropriately escalatingHealth issues to the Nursing Team
  • Implementing strategies toenable the wellbeing of all guests including ideas for physical fitness,general information updates, suggesting safe and achievable recreationalactivities, identifying education support needs for children.
  • Supporting guests withcultural, language, financial and temporary accommodation issues
  • Providing support to theonsite Health rep, and Site Coordinator.
  • Strictly following allHealth and Safety advice
  • Working collaboratively withthe onsite Health Site Lead, Site Coordinator and other agencies.
  • Maintaining accurate recordsand ensure smooth handover between team members
  • Maintaining accurate guest records
  • Actively connecting with thewider clinical team and escalating any health-related issues
  • Undertaking additionalduties as requested and approved by Wellbeing Team Leader and / or the AssociateCharge Nurse Manager
  • Your skills will include, but not limited to :

  • 3+ years of customer services experience in a busy, complexenvironment with conflicting demands
  • Understand the principles of PsychologicalFirst Aid
  • Ability to learn new systems and sound computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication, listening andinterpersonal skills
  • Certificate Level 4 or higher, including cultural qualifications
