Housekeeping Supervisor Rydges Wellington is a 4 5 star hotel property perfectly located in the heart of Wellington that offers 280 guest rooms 24 hour reception contemporary dining for breakfast lunch and dinner conference facilities gym and pool services and a multitude of nearby activities We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist in leading the Housekeeping operations We run at high occupancy and require a candidate with positive energy and drive who can lead the team This is a lead by example role where you will be responsible for team development training and motivation implementation of performance standards and ensuring the cleanliness of all rooms and public areas are up to hotel standards whilst also ensuring that your team guest s health safety and wellbeing requirements are respected and met Key tasks include Assist in Cocoordinating and running the housekeeping team Ensure all housekeeping staff understand the customer service standards and professionalism required of them Liaise closely with all departments especially Front Office to establish good communication and working relationships A high level of organizational standards and effective time management ensuring all commitments are delivered on time Assist with efficient and effective control measures implemented for lost property Work with the team to ensure all staff operate in a safe and healthy manner and in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health requirements Assist and help identify staff training needs and implement training systems To brief management supervisors and on any relevant housekeeping issues faced Assist in maintaining and preserving the quality of products furnishings and collateral within the hotel Successful applicants will Have experience in a similar role with proven leadership skills preferably in New Zealand Be well organised helpful and display strong attention to detail Be able to stay calm under pressure Confident in dealing with any situation Display common sense and initiative Ability to work well within a team environment Has excellent communication skills on all levels Be well presented Rydges Hotels Resorts is an Equal Opportunity Employer Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted
