About the role : In this position your primary function will be to ensure all items are received, stored, maintained, delivered and recorded correctly in our warehouse.
You will be responsible for : inspecting and receipting all inwards goods in an accurate and timely mannercompleting stock countsissuing and ordering both inventory and ad-hoc warehouse itemsinspect items for quality and time expiryensure hazardous substances are documented and handled correctlyensure stock is issued in a timely manner and transactions are recorded accurately.
About you : NCEA Level 2 or equivalentCertificate in Storekeeping activities or equivalent experience in a similar roleBackground in LogisiticsA current driver's licence ideally with F Endorsement, HT2 and or HI-abAn understanding of worksite safety rules and methodsExperience and an ERP (SAP, IFFS, etc.
The ability to interpret and follow instructionsThe ability to work independently or as a member of a teamBabcock's dockyard facility is located within the Royal NZ Navy's, Devonport Naval Base on Auckland's North Shore.
This picturesque location is ideally positioned for anyone who may wish to use the Devonport or Stanley Bay ferry. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and capable of obtaining a New Zealand Defence Force Security Clearance.
