About the role

Toll New Zealand are seeking a proactive person with a very fine eye for detail to join their team as a Business Analyst!

This role will be based at Toll's brand-new purpose-built facility in Auckland and will be responsible for managing the master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues.

This will include working closely with all business departments to strengthen the forecasting, reporting and business analytics whilst maintaining the integrity of the data set.

The successful candidate will be experienced in all aspects of data analytics including mining, generation and visualisation.

Additionally, the candidate will be committed to transforming data into readable goal-driven reports for continued innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding analytical needs, identifying critical metrics & KPIs and delivering actionable insights
  • Proactively analysing data, identifying trends and opportunities for growth
  • Creating reports based on data mining, analysis and visualisation
  • Developing and maintaining databases
  • Working cross-functionally with Sales & BD, IT and the wider finance team
  • Investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Additional project work and analytical support as required
  • Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst position or similar (2+ years is preferred)
  • Proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Experience using Power BI and Transport Management Systems
  • Strong SQL or excel skills, with the ability to learn other analytical tools
  • Proven analytical skills, including mining, analysis and visualization
  • Customer centric, solutions focused mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
