HealthCare Assistant COVID Response
Dunedin and Wakari Hospitals
This position will be a vital role for our COVID response team, through the provision of providing assistance to our Nursing teams in Dunedin and Wakari Hospitals during the next stages of the COVID-19 pandemic response.
We are able to offer you a role of between 20 and 40 hours per week, whichever suits your needs, starting immediately until late August 2022.
In this role you will have the opportunity being able to experience working in various parts of the hospital and get to see the ins and outs of the whole hospital, in a unique situation.
There is the potential you may be working each day in a different environment. All roles include rostered shifts 24 / 7 - including night shifts.

About You
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with previous health care experience, but also from those who are dynamic, friendly and can demonstrate a high level of initiative.
You will be committed to high standards of practice, be well organised and have excellent communication skills.
It is important that candidates are motivated, flexible, have a level of maturity about them and of course plenty of enthusiasm.
Experience working with people in a caring capacity is essential, whether that experience is gained from within a professional environment, or from caring for children or family members.

It is our intention to provide you with an induction to the role, that includes a two day training programme to ensure you are fully equipped to under the role as a valuable part of the team.
All roles include rostered rotating shifts 24 / 7 - incl. night shifts. Shift times are 7am-3.30pm, 2.30-11pm and 10.30-7am.
