We want to strengthen DOC's speak-up' culture. DOC staff should be able to reach out when they think something is not right.
The Senior Speak Up Advisor is a new and critical role in DOC's Organisational Development Unit.
If staff suspect a serious wrongdoing has occurred, we have a protected disclosure policy in place. This role will be our designated impartial person that staff can get in touch with in the first instance.
The successful applicant will work closely with the OD Director and the Principal Advisor Wellbeing to lead the design and roll out of our Speak Up culture.
It's an exciting time to join the OD Unit at DOC as we have new leadership of DOC's people and OD functions in place, several big projects underway with great buy-
in from our Senior Leadership Team, and scope to make a real difference to the organisational culture. We are mostly quite new to DOC with energy and passion for making a difference to DOC's employee experience.

This role can be based anywhere nationally. It is our preference that the preferred candidate work from home in order to maintain the neutrality and impartialness required in our Speak Up channel.
Travel at times will be required.
You'll be passionate about people and creating meaningful change. You will be keen to get stuck into delivering projects in a pragmatic and user centric way.
You will be up to date with best practice, relevant legislation and will be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
