With increasing health demand and constrained capacity, and in line with the Health Reform, we are transforming our health system to achieve more equitable health outcomes for our populations.

Are you a future focused and experienced workforce planner? We are looking for someone passionate about health workforce development who can drive workforce planning and support our workforces to grow and change for successful delivery our Hospital Network.

Join our Programme Team as we develop and deliver the Hospital Network across Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley

Help improve health outcomes and equity for the communities we serve

Opportunity to join a growing and supportive team

Our ambitious Hospital Network programme will make the best use of our three hospital sites which aligns with the move to Te Whatu Ora. The programme is :

Developing long-term Master Site Plans for each campus;

Addressing immediate capacity constraints in emergency department, beds and theatres;

Establishing services and models of care that deliver equitable health outcomes and make best use of resources, working within the model of a single integrated service delivered across multiple locations.

We are a small and growing team, in joining us you will work alongside passionate and hardworking colleagues who are focussed on achieving improved health outcomes for the populations we serve.

You will be instrumental in the implementation of an innovative health system and service redesign. This is an opportunity to make meaningful action across our strategic priorities and in doing so you will be supported by a tight knit, collaborative and supportive team

The Hospital Network programme is a core component of this transformation, determining and delivering the network of services and infrastructure we need to meet the health needs of our local communities and be an effective regional complex care provider of tertiary services.

Our Hospital Network will :

Achieve equitable population health outcomes;

Deliver contemporary models of care that provide high quality and safe patient-centred care;

Make the most effective use of resources staff, buildings, and equipment for clinical and financial sustainability; and

Support safe places for teams to work.

You will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to facilitate and maintain strong productive relationships. Committed to achieving equity, you will be someone who seeks opportunities to make a positive difference for our communities.

Working within a dynamic environment you will be adaptable while also able to maintain structure.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

Experience in planning workforce requirements

Experience working within the health context DHB experience is desired but not required

A solid understanding of how people and organisations go through a change process

Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of successfully presenting to or facilitating for small and large groups
