Healthy Active Learning Implementation Consultant Be a key player in adding value to a significant initiative enhancing the capability of Aotearoa NZ s play active recreation and sport system and furthering wellbeing Support the delivery of a major project within the Sport New Zealand s Strategic Plan with your proven capabilities across implementation Enhance develop and strengthen stakeholder relationships to ensure successful outcomes Healthy Active Learning is a collaborative joint agency wellbeing initiative between Sport New Zealand and the Ministries of Health and Education The initiative supports schools and kura across Aotearoa to improve the wellbeing of tamariki and rangatahi through healthy eating and drinking and quality physical activity Sport NZ is responsible for the overall leadership of the Healthy Active Learning initiative as well as implementation of workforce deployment into approximately 800 schools and kura Reporting to the Healthy Active Learning Lead the Healthy Active Learning Implementation Consultant is key to providing thought leadership and support to all Healthy Active Learning delivery partners implementing Sport NZ s component of Healthy Active Learning across Aotearoa Additionally the role has a strong emphasis on building and sustaining key stakeholder relationships The position requires sound knowledge and understanding of the operating models to deliver physical activity opportunities for tamariki and rangatahi Additionally the requirements also include the following attributes Highly competent in planning managing and prioritising multiple and competing largescale tasks and projects to meet deadlines and produce quality results Proven experience in delivering quality outcomes through 3rd parties whilst managing conflicting interests Knowledge of the operating models that underpin the education sport active recreation and play sectors across Aotearoa Strong interpersonal capabilities with the ability to influence engage and communicate effectively to a diverse stakeholder group and lead them on a journey Convincing experience in driving and supporting relevant communications to produce impactful visibility and to also inform and engage the wider community and stakeholder group Compelling experience developing and managing sustainable relationships Familiar with Sport New Zealand s role responsibilities strategies and approaches particularly the Physical Literacy approach Awareness of the wider social and political context across both the sporting and education sector High degree of integrity with the ability to maintain strict confidentialities Knowledge of and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi Academic qualifications and project management accreditation s desirable This will be a fulltime role with some travel ideally based in Wellington Sport New Zealand is committed to being an equal opportunity employer with a focus on ensuring equity diversity and inclusion lead to stronger whanaungatanga and improved organisational performance We value and embrace differences and diverse ways of thinking and being Staff at Sport New Zealand are celebrated for who they are and their unique contributions to the business For further information about the role please see the attached job description To be considered for this role applications must be received through the Sport NZ recruitment portal Applications close on Sunday 9th February 11pm
