Processing Team Leader Whangarei

The Processing Team Leader's role is to manage the daily performance of a team of Processing Officers. They make sure the processes used by their team run smoothly so that NZ Post products and parcels are sorted according to agreed processing criteria and service performance targets.

With the number of parcels increasing and being a key part of our of a dynamic national network, this area is kept on their toes.

The shift is very busy with inbound volumes and a lot of transport movements in and out of this site. The role will be supported by a charge hand which manages the floor and the role will oversee the entire operation.

The operating hours are Monday - Friday 12 : 00pm - 8 : 00pmKey to this role of course is people management and the ability to engage well with truck drivers and contractors.

As well as building a great team, you will also have a strong focus on continuous improvement and Health and Safety. You will need to be the type of leader who takes a hands on approach, demonstrates a commitment to safety and fosters a high performing, positive team culture.

You will also need to have some admin skills as you will also be in charge of rostering, payroll and other important things that keep the team running smoothly.
