Offering an assortment of fresh fruits & vegetables, honey, bread, street food and natural made products. We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy individual with excellent people skills who is interested in supporting a local neighbourhood grower with getting their produce to market.
Woodford Gardens is a small market garden based at Waitākere Hospital, Henderson that works with and for the community, producing quality organic produce and seedlings.
You will be trained and supported to carry out tasks and will have the support of the market crew as required. A full or restricted drivers license and use of a vehicle to transport stock / equipment is desirable but not essential.
This is a great opportunity for a student, or anybody looking for an opportunity to further develop their customer service, or small business skills, or simply wants to become more involved in the neighbourhood.
TasksHelp set up stand with tents, crates of fruit / vegetables, boxes, display stands, signs, etc.Oversee sales, help customers, weighing with digital scales, collecting money from customers.
Restocking display crates as soon as possible.Help take down the display, load fruit and crates into truck, take down tents and pack up truck.
