The Wight Aluminium Group prides itself in being New Zealand owned and is one of the top aluminium fabricators in the North Island.

The Group comprises two separate companies, Origin Windows based in Hamilton, and Wight Aluminium based in Wanganui and Auckland.

While this position would preferably be based in Hamilton it could also operate effectively from Wanganui or Auckland.

Due to significant growth this is a newly created sole charge role requiring an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced marketing professional to lead, develop, and deliver high quality marketing and communications.

The focus is on enhancing the reputation of Wight Aluminium and Origin Windows.

You will be responsible for :

  • Developing a marketing strategy that supports the delivery of the Group’s strategic aims.
  • Reviewing and making recommendations on branding.
  • Implementing communications and marketing initiatives.
  • Assisting the tendering and sales team with marketing materials as required.
  • Managing Wight Aluminium and Origin Windows websites and all social media activities.
  • Event management.
  • Assisting with internal communications.
  • To be successful in this role you will need :

  • A degree in marketing or relevant discipline.
  • Three or more years marketing related experience.
  • A strong interest in social media, as well as print and electronic media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working in the aluminium joinery, manufacturing or construction environments would be an advantage. We will consider candidates who may not meet all the above requirements but whose experience demonstrates the commitment and energy to excel in this role.

    This position will be between 20 25 hours a week with flexibility around the days and times these hours are worked.
