Situated within our Analytics & Financial Advisory function, MidCentral DHB has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Costing Accountant / Analyst & Financial Modeller to join the team.
In addition to running and maintaining our costing model to deliver robust reporting and advice this role will be tasked with developing and maintaining financial models to provide high quality analytical input, enabling strategic financial planning and investment decisions.
To be successful in the role you will have at least three years’ experience, preferably within a medium or large organisation.
You will hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline and membership or progression towards membership of a recognised professional body would be advantageous.
You will be a highly developed excel user with experience in financial analysis and costing and competence in financial modelling.
You will have a proven track record of working successfully with analytics teams and managing large data sets. It is desirable for you have SQL and analysis service skills and experience or knowledge of the health sector, but not required.
In addition to advanced technical skills and proven specialist knowledge, this role will require you to apply your skills in critical thinking - analysing complex and multidimensional situations to identify the key issues and developing and implementing appropriate solutions.
You will be exceptionally organised, exhibit a customer focus, apply strong communication and relationship building techniques and demonstrate flexibility and planning skills.
You will be comfortable liaising with and presenting to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
