About the role

To support this high profile operation, we have a highly dedicated and motivated maintenance team who work in a well-supported workshop base.

Key to delivering on our strategy, is to ensure our fleet of 21 vessels are well maintained, enabling us to keep them in service, and proactively manage ongoing maintenance.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Marine Electrician to join our Maintenance team. Our Maintenance team provides maintenance services on a range of high speed ferry and wharf facilities to ensure reliability, safety and availability of vessels.

They also ensure that these vessels are in a high standard of repair and in compliance with regulatory authorities and inspections

About you

Our ideal candidate will be a registered electrician and have sound working knowledge of : marine power, 24v dc to 415v ac wiring, instrumentation, electric motors, generators and lighting.

Experience with electronic engine control systems is also preferred but not essential.

The range of equipment you’ll be working on includes the latest diesel engine diagnostic (training in diagnostic software will be provided) and data logging and monitoring, a range of electronic navigational equipment, diesel power generation, electric motors, starters, alternators, switchboards, circuits and wiring.

Ideally, applicants should have at least 3 years work experience in the marine or industrial electrical field and show a keen interest in marine electrical maintenance.

As a 7 day a week business, flexibility with days and hours is a must. You must be willing to work extended hours when required and be part of the afterhours on call roster.
