  • Is committed to being the best in its fieldAn opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing team on a permanent basis, 8 days a fortnight (0.
  • 8 FTE) as the Outpatient / Day Services Nurse. This role coordinates the outpatient and clinical day services provided from the Hospice Waikato Wellness Centre, facilitating an interdisciplinary and patient / family / whānau focus.

    This position is responsible for facilitating a smooth transition between outpatient / day services and other Hospice Waikato services as patients care needs change.

    You will need to be organised, clinically proficient, and competent with information technology and related digital devices.

    You will also need to be flexible and adaptable and ready to take on new challenges as Hospice Waikato looks to develop its day services programme.

    Hospice Waikato requires staff to be committed to growing their own clinical knowledge and contributing to the collective growth and development of specialist palliative care at Hospice Waikato.

    To be the right fit for this role and our organisation you would bring : Essential :

  • Registered Nurse qualification
  • Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • A current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Current full New Zealand driver’s license
  • A minimum of 3 years post registration experience in a relevant area of nursing
  • Competent with information technology and related devicesDesirable :
  • Experience in community-based nursing
  • Experience in palliative care nursing
  • Experience in patient education
