We are looking for a Transport Asset Manager to join our client, a large local authority in the Wellington region, in an exciting role to lead a team of Transport Asset Managers towards achieving the Transport Network outcomes.
The Transport and infrastructure business unit provides roading, traffic, and transportation services . The Unit's role is to ensure that :
The infrastructure assets and long-term interests are professionally and properly planned, managed and developed.
All required asset information and advice is available for informed decision making.
Works and services contracts and project activities for the maintenance, upgrade, refurbishment and development of infrastructure assets to meet the required quality standards.
To be successful in this role you will need :
Min 10 years experience in a similar role
To be an NZ Charted Engineer or equivalent
Proven leadership and management skills
Thorough knowledge and hands on experience in Asset Management and Contracts Management
Planning and implementing roading construction, maintenance and related Transport services experience
Legislative framework including the Local Government Act, Resource Management Act, Transit Act and the Land Transport Act as it relates to the transport portfolio
Project and asset management experience
And of course, developing and maintain relationships, both internally and with external service providers and, of course in adopting a big picture’ approach to making it work.
