    To help us on this journey, we are seeking an exceptional Safety Business Partner (Safety BP) to be part of our dynamic team!

    Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity

    Reporting to the Executive General Manager Safety, this role is all about driving our safety leadership capability and safety focus.

    You will need to be able to operate at consulting and commercial level - linking the safety strategy to business needs across multiple levels of the organisation.

    This is a senior leadership role where you foster new thinking and adaptiveness to coach and mentor leaders to respond to changing needs, challenges, and priorities as we transform safety at Auckland Transport.

    You'll demonstrate high learning agility, demonstrate exceptional communication skills and be adaptive in your approach.

    You will be a change agent and understand how to implement programmes of work and be part of a cross functional team. The Safety team at Auckland Transport is transforming Safety and with this it gives our people the opportunity to grow, develop, extend themselves, while also working on worthwhile and meaningful work, that makes a difference.

    A seasoned professional, you will bring significant experience within a complex operational business and an understanding of the different needs and focuses on safety that come with the complexity of operational, and or outsourced business models.

    You will have strong leadership and stakeholder skills with ability to inspire motivate and build effective and high performing teams.

    Politically savvy and strategic in your approach you will be customer centric problem solver and influencer that can garner the commitment of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation within a changing and evolving environment
