About the role :

Reporting directly to the NZ Sales Manager, and based in Christchurch or the greater South Island, you will be responsible for leading a team of Account Managers, where you will provide effective leadership to deliver sales growth and drive service delivery excellence.

This position is within our Food and Beverage division where we provide cleaning and sanitising solutions to clients in the dairy, beverage, protein and food processing industries.

Your responsibilities :

  • Managing and delivering district sales and profitability targets
  • With your team, devising a business development strategy to maximise new account opportunities
  • Managing and developing the current client base within the region, leveraging our strong client relationships
  • Develop your team’s capability through coaching and professional development
  • Ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of service excellence to customers
  • Achieving the territory budget and growth goals
  • Growing the territory through promotion of the company’s value-added products and services
  • By nature, you will demonstrate :

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build, maintain and retain relationships across different groups at all levels of the organisation
  • Exceptional team management skills and the ability to coach and develop people
  • Customer centric and action oriented
  • The ability to inspire and gain a diverse team’s support and confidence
  • Excellent presentation, financial and negotiation capabilities
  • Technically, you will have :

  • A tertiary qualification in a science, food science or related discipline
  • Experience in the processed food, dairy, or beverage and brewing sectors
  • A track record in technical sales / business development and management
  • Proven experience in dealing with large national and multi-national customers
  • A full and valid driver’s license is a pre-requisite
