Connection Coordinator

An exciting opportunity awaits you!

Integral to the Connections Services team within the Retail group, in this role you will review and approve applications for works over to the water and wastewater network, as well as domestic and non-domestic water and wastewater service connections to Watercare's networks, and report information for monitoring performance against service levels.

With your exceptional customer focus you will provide advice to external customers, contribute to the performance of the Connection Services team with particular focus on revenue from Infrastructure Growth Charges, connection approvals, new water meters and works over.

You must be able to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers. With a focus on solutions and issue resolution, you will definitely be a "glass half-full" individual who is willing to go the extra mile in order to meet the customer's needs.

To be successful in this role, a mucking-in mind-set would definitely be beneficial.

Requirements for the role :

  • To be able to provide examples of demonstrating Watercare's values on a day to day basis
  • NZCA Level 2 or higher, perhaps with a relevant trade certificate or studying towards a diploma or bachelor of Engineering.
  • A proven ability to work well with others

  • A demonstrable ability to juggle multiple tasks at once whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated with a focus on excellence and quality
  • Previous experience in the water / wastewater industry and experience using Hansen or GIS systems is desirable.
