Sudima Hotels are playing an essential role assisting the New Zealand Government with their programme of Managed Isolation and Quarantine as part of New Zealand’s ongoing COVID-19 response.

We’re proud to be doing our part to keep our communities safe and provide a home away from home for returning kiwis. In our operation as an essential service, we must adhere to strict guidelines provided by MoH and MBIE for the health and safety of our guests, staff, contractors and communities, including ongoing infection prevention controls, regular testing and vaccination against covid-19.

We are seeking a Full-Time Night Manager to support the overnight operations of our property.

We are looking for an enthusiastic applicant who can support our guests with their needs and can work well in a small team.

We are looking for someone has the ability to deliver a warm, friendly interaction every time whilst in this unique environment! The role is varied and requires a team player who will provide the highest level of customer service while ensuring professionalism and efficiency.

Responsibilities include :

  • Manage the hotel whilst on shift and when senior managers are not present
  • Ensure all complaints are dealt with appropriately
  • Ensure a smooth check-in and check-out of NZ Returnees
  • Attend to any emergency situations including security, maintenance, fire or evacuation
  • Support the night team with guest requests / tasks and overnight checks to be completed
  • Ensure warm and friendly interactions with guests
  • Follows all security and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of our guests, team and facility
  • Follows strict health, hygiene and PPE standards
  • Requirements

    The successful applicant will need to possess the following attributes :

  • Must be available to work between 10 : 30pm and 7am
  • Valid Duty Managers Certificate
  • Confident and self-motivated
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong aptitude in Accounts
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach
  • Professional personal presentation and work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
  • A team player
