The School is looking for high quality researchers and innovative teachers who are prepared to take leadership roles within the faculty and university.

Applicants who are Māori, Pasifika and / or female are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applicants from all areas within the law discipline are welcome, however, the faculty is especially interested in applicants with expertise in all areas of private law, including contract, equity, company law, intellectual property, banking and finance, and restitution .

Expertise in local authorities law and resource management, employment law, law and technology and aviation and space law is also of interest.

It is a requirement of appointment that successful applicants teach into the core courses, including first year courses.

Applications at any level from lecturer through to professor are welcome.

He kōrero mōu About you

You are an energetic, can-do person with an LLB or equivalent and post-graduate law qualifications. A PhD in Law or another discipline is highly desirable.

Teaching experience at undergraduate and post-graduate level is desirable.

For Professor and Associate Professor, a substantial track record in the publication of research monographs and articles in leading international journals or similar is necessary.

For these roles it is desirable to have experience of successful PhD supervision. Professor and Associate Professor applicants will also be expected to demonstrate an aptitude to undertake significant service roles commensurate with seniority.
