Duties and responsibilities

  • Operates line, maintains proper speeds, adjustment, etc. to ensure a quality product and production rates.
  • Performs continuous inspections of product visually.
  • Monitors daily production output and, if needed, discuss with Production Line Supervisor / OIC and Production Shift Manger the solution to address inefficiencies due to operational and machine delays to improve finished goods recovery.
  • Records product and process parameters.
  • Observes proper process operating parameters to conform to product specifications.
  • Keeps the production line and surrounding area clean and orderly and in compliance with 5-S and any lean initiatives.
  • Supervises the tasks and performance of team members.
  • Ensures a high level of Health & Safety in the production line during the performance of all tasks.
  • Coordinates with the Production Line Supervisor / OIC, Production Shift Manger and Engineering and Maintenance team of the needed tools, supplies and spare parts needed for equipment minor troubleshooting and repair.
  • Performs minor equipment troubleshooting and repair to ensure efficient operation.
  • Checks equipment for efficiency, malfunction and deviation from original operating conditions.
  • Performs work of an equal or lower classification as required.
  • Qualifications and Key Skills

  • Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics and Communications Engineering Certification (Diploma or equivalent).
  • Previous experience / exposure working at a pet food / food manufacturing facility.
  • Successfully worked ineffective teams.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • High level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Experience in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting of pet food / food process lines and machines.
