The role?Our Product Managers help drive the strategic direction and profitable growth of our various product portfolios.
You will develop a deep understanding of the global competitive landscape for relevant categories, and you'll have an innate ability to take hard and soft data from multiple sources and turn it into genuine insights.
You'll also work closely with Chief Engineers, Marketing, our regional teams and the other Global Product Managers to ensure the relevant product portfolio is consistent with the short and long term business strategy and goals for Fisher & Paykel Appliances.
This is a product focussed role that needs someone who can establish and maintain strong links between the Product Development teams and our global sales and marketing teams.
As part of the central Product Management team, you will liaise with our regional Product Management and Marketing teams to assist them with thorough understanding of products, as well as leading new product introductions to ensure we deliver a positive and timely impact in the market.
So that's the role? Who are you? We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about products but has the ability to influence and lead across the business to ensure their commercial success.
You'll also have had experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders to help compile business cases and briefs and to execute on agreed plans.
You are also comfortable operating in situations where there is some level of ambiguity. You'll inherently know how to extract and analyze information, and concisely present this to all the relevant stakeholders.
In time, you will be seen as a trusted category expert within our business. You'll thrive in a hands-on environment and will be great at influencing stakeholders across the business and throughout the product lifecycle with great work, sound reasoning, and your natural collaborative style.
On the technical side, you'll have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering. You might even have an MBA. You are likely to have previous working experience in either product management, or even in a product development role, but don't let us pigeon-
hole you. A key component of what you have to offer is that you've got a genuine interest in the business as well as the product side of the equation.
