    Our team is seeking a self-starting Communications Officer who has a can do attitude, and who is motivated, organised, and able to meet deadlines.

    The Communications Unit, based at Palmerston North Hospital, provides a centralised service for the entire MidCentral District Health Board.

    The successful person will have :

  • Experience in communication, media or a relevant position and / or relevant tertiary qualifications
  • The ability to write and present ideas to various audiences using different communication channels, including social media
  • An understanding of and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office packages
  • An ability to work independently
  • An understanding of effective communication tools, techniques, systems and reporting procedures
  • MidCentral DHB provides a fast paced and constantly changing work environment where you will provide communications support and advice, both internally and externally, across a wide range of mediums.
