Registered Mental Health professional, CAS / RMS- Cornwall House (Full Time)
Key role in a growing and developing Community Mental Health Centre
Cornwall House provides a multi-disciplinary, recovery focused service for clients living in Auckland city.
This role is a split post that functions on a rotating basis between Referrals Management Service (Triage) and the Community Acute Service.
It is a valued and key role within the centre which provides opportunity to have significant positive impact on the lives of our clients.
Working within Referrals Management Service, you will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating Service User access to the range of clinical services and teams that this centre provides.
This includes managing and triaging all referrals into Cornwall House, dealing with enquiries from the public, external agencies and referrers.
You will have an ability to work collaboratively across a wide spectrum of DHB clinical and cultural services, the NGO and community sector, and provide input and support to other members of the Service.
In addition to this role, you will also work within the Community Acute Service (CAS) where you’ll be assessing and managing the needs of Service Users that are referred to the service with an acute mental health presentation and increased risk.
This would suit someone who is experienced in a Community Mental Health setting, a confident communicator and decision maker with strong clinical competencies and a high level of time management and organizational skills.
You will be a registered comprehensive nurse or registered mental health nurse with a full and clean NZ driver’s license for this community based role.
You will need to be a Duly Authorized Officer or willing to train to fulfil this requirement within the first year of employment.
This role is not suitable for New Graduate applications.
This is a permanent, full time position, based in Cornwall House, Greenlane Clinical Centre. You will be part of the RMS / CAS Roster (24 / 7 cover,365 days a year), a fully rotating roster including morning, afternoon and night shifts, Monday to Sunday.
