We are excited to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the outpatient department within our Platinum Medical Centre.
The PMC is the largest private diagnostic and outpatient centre in the country and will serve 70,000 outpatients every year.
The PMC houses an extensive state-of-the-art diagnostic and imaging centre, complete with seven floors of 50 consulting rooms, 4 day surgery theatres, and a 12 bedded day surgery unit.
To provide and deliver a customer service to a world class level for our patients, visitors and consultants. As a health care assistant, you will work under the guidance of a registered nurse.
Assist in organisation of clinics, chaperoning and assisting medical staff in outpatient procedures.
Salary : £21,000 £25,000 dependent on experience
This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (Flexibility of shifts required)

Duties & Responsibilities
Keeping the treatment rooms organised, clean and tidy at all timesMonitor stock levels and inform clinical staff when additional stock needs to be orderedEnsure clinical areas are restocked regularlyClean and inspect equipment reporting any faultsDemonstrate a high standard of customer care in dealing with consultants, other clinical staff, patients and relativesRecognise own limitations and request assistance as necessaryMaintain a high level of clinical practiceTo take responsibility for own practice, in accordance with the hospital guidelines / protocolsMaintain confidentialityEnsure correct labelling and transport of specimensChaperoning and assisting medical staffCarry out observations, investigations and treatments as requiredAssess patient’s condition through basic measurementsTo treat patients in an environment that preserves personal dignity and privacy and ensure patient comfortReport any concerns to the Nurse in chargeEnsure all patient charges are captureKeep clear and accurate records
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in healthcare / HospitalCare certificate / NVQ level 2 or 3Evidence of updating clinical skills / knowledgeAbility to assist in co-ordinating the outpatient areaEvidence of professional and personal development
