Since its establishment in 1905 the Department of Physiology has grown to become one of the largest Departments in the University, being home to approximately 100 staff.
It makes major contributions to the undergraduate and postgraduate education of students in science, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, medical lab sciences, nutrition, and physical education.
The role / Te mahi
We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow with a strong background in cardiovascular research to join our team.
The successful candidate will work on a Marsden Fund, Royal Society of New Zealand funded project led by Dr Jeff Erickson.
The project will investigate the role to measure contractility of muscle fibers and isolated hearts.

The project requires a high-level of personal independent input and the ability to work co-operatively with other team members to reach the research goals.

This position is full-time, fixed term for 36 months. The position is available from 1 March 2022 (negotiable).
