Summary

Reporting to our Regional Sales Manager, Advanced Wound Management (NZ), this newly created role will be responsible for driving growth and profitability of our AWM business by identifying and executing new business opportunities within the New Zealand healthcare market.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work with Advanced Wound Management Sales Team to identify synergies across all business activities
  • Develop strategic business plans for targeted DHBs
  • Manage key relationships with DHB Hospital Accounts, Private Hospital Groups, PHARMAC, ACC, ACC Providers, Wholesalers and Corporate Aged Care Groups
  • Partner effectively with relevant key external stakeholder groups to drive tender and contract outcomes
  • Evaluate ideas and suggestions for new products, investigate market opportunities, profitability and effect on market for present products
  • Identifying new sales leads within the assigned geographic territory
  • Contact potential clients to establish rapport and develop relationships
  • Present and deliver information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
  • Plan and execute new marketing initiatives
  • Be familiar with Sales Action Plan documents objectives and ensure that all Business Plans and Opportunities that are in CRM relate to the SAP
  • Understand and fully comply with all CRM system requirements
  • Education

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Science related disciplines
  • Experience

  • Proven experience in Business Development within the healthcare sector in NZ or overseas equivalent, essential
  • Proven track record in managing relationships with DHB Hospital Accounts, Private Hospital Groups, PHARMAC, ACC, ACC Providers, Wholesalers and Corporate Aged Care Groups
  • Prior experience within wound care, advantageous
  • Technical Knowledge & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry in NZ
  • Strong selling skills with drive for results
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and foster long-term relationships with internal and external customers
  • Customer focused with strong commitment to exceeding customer expectations
  • Ability to interpret financial and clinical data
  • Strong planning, execution and decision making skills
