What we’re looking for

We need an exceptional Electrical planner to join our Electrical department!

What you’ll be doing

The role is responsible for overall planning of the Electrical / ITS team in our Auckland region. You’ll be working closely with the Delivery manager to maintain the Auckland Roading Network.

This includes sound planning, scheduling, verifying and record management to ensure that works are completed on time, and the relevant records and QA are collected.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system. You’ll also be :

  • Planning and scheduling of Electrical / ITS maintenance.
  • Preparing monthly packs for field crews.
  • Tracking maintenance and faults progress and advising relevant team members.
  • Reporting on team performance, and delivery performance for monthly reports.
  • Working closely with the Electrical Department Manager & Ops Manager to plan the year maintenance in advance.
  • Coordinating and managing asset information including updating records in the relevant system such as RAMM.
  • Updating information systems such as Office365, RAMM and other such platforms.
  • Ensuring training records including competency assessments are up to date and booking training for all Electrical staff as required.
  • Assist with planning and completing TTM requests.
  • Work with Electrical Department Manager to prepare and invoice claims and month-end invoicing.
  • Complete basis office tasks including but not limited to production of purchase orders, tracking of equipment, tracking of leave requests, etc.
  • What you’ll bring to the table

    We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and really make the role their own. You’ll operate with a drive for excellence in everything you do and be passionate about building a culture for growth and knowledge. You’ll also :

  • Have experience or knowledge on maintenance planning. Preferable in an Electrical or construction / roading environment.
  • Carry a full class 1 licence
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, Excel and Adobe and find it easy to pick up new systems and technology.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a strong work ethic are a must.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain working relationships whilst ensuring correct processes are followed.
  • Have the ability to perform under pressure and regularly review and adjust priorities.
  • Be able to think on-the-go and collaborate well with multiple people to achieve the goal.
  • Self- motivation and happy to work independently or with the team to achieve the goals of the department.
