Job type : Fixed term - 10 to 12 months

Location : New Zealand but able to travel as required

We have a unique opportunity for skilled and experienced Business and Senior Business Analysts to join our Change PMO and work on projects that will make a real difference in our community.

    The Oranga Tamariki Practice Programme is a programme of work that seeks to make a fundamental shift in our approach to practice within Oranga Tamariki.

    At the heart of this shift is the relationships we build with the tamariki, whānau, communities and partners we work with.

    This will require us to make changes, as an organisation and as individual practitioners.

    Our practice will draw from Te Ao Māori knowledge, methods and principles which are by their nature relational, restorative and inclusive.

    This shift in practice will benefit tamariki and whānau Māori and also better meet the needs of all children and families we work with.

    As an organisation we will continue to strengthen the system that supports our practice, and the practice of those we work alongside and partner with.

    This is your opportunity to be part of a unique and exciting programme of work that is shaping the future of statutory social work in Aotearoa in order to achieve better outcomes for tamariki and whanau Māori, and all children and families we work with.

    About you Mōu

    We are seeking experienced Business and Senior Business Analysts who have led or had significant experience in the development of frameworks and practices for large scale projects, which are working to improve ways of working with partners and customers through to delivery of change.

    You will have a solid understanding of social welfare needs in relation to whānau and communities and will ideally have prior experience working in this area.

    Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu What you will bring :

  • Strong Business Analyst skills (including planning, workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement requirements gathering, documentation, process mapping, current and future state analysis)
  • Experience as a Business Analyst within government organisations
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering a range of outputs for business projects
  • Knowledge of indigenous models of practice with a commitment to delivering to our Māori cultural framework
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to present complex information in an engaging and easy to understand way
  • Flexibility and be adaptable, a reliable Business Analyst with strong ethics and business nature
  • Knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori
  • Experience working with iwi Māori
  • Knowledge of the complex social issues faced by tamariki and whānau who we work with
