About the Team
Ward 6C is a 12-bed acute assessment and treatment unit for people aged over 65 years with an array of mental health (along with some physical health) needs, located in Dunedin Hospital.
About the Role
Our Mental Health / Health Care Assistants are key team members who assist our nursing and allied health staff to ensure an effective and efficient service.
As an Assistant working in Mental Health you’ll need to have a positive attitude and good communication skills, be able to take direction and work well as part of the team.
Computer literacy is essential and experience working with people in the health sector is an advantage
About You
You will be someone who is warm, empathetic, responsive and attuned to the emotions, needs and motivations of older people.
It is preferred you have Mental Health experience or a strong willingness to work in this field.
