About the role :

As part of our Strategy, Engagement and Education branch, you'll use your analytical thinking to influence the design, monitoring and ongoing evolution of Immigration New Zealand's(INZ's) strategy.

  • You will actively participate in project teams related to organisational delivery across key strategic areas such as people, engagement, policy, finance and investment;
  • effectively measuring and reporting on system performance, supporting the identification of risks, and identifying future states and business capabilities.

    Your analysis and advice will support the business to identify the organisational capabilities to deliver on our strategy.

  • You'll enjoy considerable breadth and variety, including supporting various project activities to arrive at cost and volume estimations, identifying / articulating risks associated with delivery;
  • sourcing information and presenting effective reporting to inform decision-making.

    What you will bring to the role :

  • A strong understanding of strategic analysis, planning and project methodologies
  • Experience identifying and reporting on impacts, risks and issues
  • Confidence applying approved project methodology and analysis tools in support of key strategic projects'
  • Initiative and drive; a positive approach
  • Strong writing skills, with proven ability to clearly articulate analysis and ideas in reports for a range of audiences
  • The ability to use computer software packages, including project management, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and analytical skills
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Commitment to ti tiriti Waitangi and an understanding of how it shapes our work
  • Applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, or a residence class visa to work for Immigration NZ
