What you will do
You will act as part of a team to deliver a variety of tasks within the procurement lifecycle (plan, source, manage) and contribute to the Centre of Excellence.
Tasks will include but are not limited to :
You’ll play a key role in contributing to improving the overall capability and effectiveness of the NZDF commercial function, which affects the capacity for NZDF to undertake military operations. What we do matters.
Please note : This is a fixed term role until the end of July 2021 and can be based in Wellington or Trentham, but would need to be flexible across both locations.
We’d also welcome your interest to fill this position as an inter-agency secondment for the fixed term period.
What we need
We’re looking for a team player with a proven track record in delivery of strategic procurement and engaging successfully with customers and key stakeholders.
You will be passionate about what you do and enjoy the challenge of delivering customer-focussed solutions. Your refined communication skills include being able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders with ease, as well as your written work being to a high standard.
You’ll be agile, innovative and decisive.
Ideally you will have a minimum of two years’ experience within a sourcing role specialising in Information Technology (IT).
You’ll have a sound understanding and demonstrable experience of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle process, the Government Procurement Rules and best practice strategic procurement behaviour.
Preferably you’ll also have experience working within the public sector, although this is not essential.
