We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings Services team in the Auckland CBD. In this role you will find opportunities for strong career progression by contributing to boutique and large scale local and international projects.

starting and self-reliant person who can handle the responsibility of delivering electrical design and leading multi-discipline building and commercial projects, with support from the wider team.

The role includes the following tasks and the candidate should have experience of and will be expected to undertake the following.

  • Working and liaising with associated engineering disciplines as part of delivering projects
  • Undertaking surveys and completing reports
  • Production of design drawings using mark-up tools
  • Production of design specifications
  • Use of BIM 360, Bluebeam, and other equivalent mark-up tools for drawing production
  • Completing design calculations using computational software for lighting, LV cable protection.
  • Liaising with clients and end users to establish project requirements
  • Monitoring installations on site.
  • Candidate Specification

    Ideally you should have a good working knowledge and be capable of design and specification of the following systems.

  • Monitoring installations on site.
  • Liaising with clients and end users to establish project requirements
  • Small power,
  • LV mains distribution, metering and protection
  • Standby power systems including Generators and UPS systems,
  • Emergency power systems
  • Lightning Protection systems
  • Earthing systems
  • LV and Comms cable containment systems.
  • We require a qualified electrical engineer who is experienced in the design and specification of electrical services within buildings.

    This role ideally suits someone with 3 5 years’ experience and looking to join a growing team that hold technical excellent to high regard and offer an excellent opportunity for career progression.

    In additional to the above you will ideally have :

  • Earthing systems
  • A degree level qualification.
  • Membership or in process of membership with a professional engineering body,
  • Engineers New Zealand, IET, CIBSE or equivalent.
  • An Enthusiastic and ambitious attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing
  • In turn you’ll be working on significant projects that shape the communities in which we live. You will build connections with our international expertise and bring this knowledge to our clients and to their projects.
