    This is a unique opportunity to join our Beca Project Strategy & Delivery team in Wellington. Our people are working on some of the most complex capital works projects and programmes across New Zealand providing you with exposure to water, transport, defence, education, urban development, industrial and building sector.

    Our consultants engage across all phases of the programme and project lifecycle including establishment, design management and execution.

    Our activities through these phases include planning, scheduling, progress measurement, risk management, project controls and reporting.

    We often oversee the activities of contractors or collaborate with industry partners through Alliances and other collaborative working You will be part of a team known for providing experience based professional services by advising upon or leading the successful establishment and delivery of projects and programme, with Beca having one of the largest pools of project controls practitioners in New Zealand.

    You will have an interest in project planning, scheduling, risk management, data and information :

  • You will be confident and personable with skills in communication, facilitation and report writing
  • You will have risk management experience and / or planning & scheduling experience using MS Project and potentially Oracle P6
  • You may have advanced skills in Quantitative Risk Analysis, Earned Value Management and / or EOT claim assessments
  • You will have a broad range of interests and an enquiring mind that will allow to work across various market segments
  • A technical qualification in engineering, quantity surveying or similar, you may also have further qualifications in management
  • You may have gained this experience through your work as a consultant, client-side project manager or within a main contractor’s organisation.

    You may be a project manager, project engineer or design coordinator / manager with a particular interest in using a more structured approach to managing projects.

    In addition, you may aspire to become a commercial manager, risk manager or project controls director on major projects and programmes as you grow your , designers, contractors and stakeholders.

    You will be an energetic and passionate contributor with a bias for action, able to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to make things happen.

    We value applicants from diverse backgrounds and career stages. However, an understanding of the local New Zealand sector, potentially balanced with overseas experiences, would be advantageous.
