The Role : Storeperson / Compounding Assistant

A great opportunity has become available for a Storeperson to join our Compounding Team in a full-time, permanent position based at our Christchurch site.

You will be responsible for receipting of raw materials and stock into the pharmacy and ensuring the right stock is available to ensure our compounding team can manufacture medicines to meet customer and patient requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Maintaining inventory / stock levels

  • Ensuring stock counts are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Organising credit / debit for under / over supply or damaged stock
  • Liaising with suppliers and Central Purchasers when necessary
  • Co-ordinating dispatch and transport of finished goods
  • Complying with quality and health and safety requirements
  • Purchasing Baxter lines from distribution centres and receiving all inventory into JDE and other systems as required
  • Assisting pharmacy with daily production needs
  • Transferring stock to other pharmacy sites if needed
  • Application of a continuous improvement approach and implementation of lean methodologies in stores area
  • We are seeking candidates who are keen to work in the healthcare sector and comfortable working in a highly procedure driven environment.

    While relevant experience would be great, the right attitude is what we are really looking for so if you can demonstrate this, we can provide you with the technical training.

    The current standard hours of work for this role is 0930 am to 0600 pm Monday to Friday . However, to meet customer requirements we do require flexibility to work alternative hours from time to time and the roster may change in future to meet changing customer needs.

    Skills & Qualifications :

  • Ability to diligently follow detailed procedures and work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Enjoy working as part of a dedicated team and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Highly motivated to work in continuous learning environment
  • An excellent attention to detail
  • Preferably you will have experience with JDE / SAP or other systems
  • Have a level of physical fitness to be able to carry out manual handling regularly throughout the day
  • Be highly results focused
