A little bit about the role :

We have a 12 month, fixed term opportunity for a BI ETL Developer to join us on our mission - reporting to the BI Architect, you will be joining an engaged, supportive, diverse workforce of global professionals based in our support office in central Christchurch.

The BI ETL Developer will be involved in driving the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence initiatives across the Kathmandu Group, being a key point of contact for stakeholders in the business.

Your key responsibilities :

  • Create, maintain and optimise data pipelines, ensuring compliance with data governance and security requirements
  • Drive automation through effective metadata management using innovative tools, techniques and strategies
  • Deliver BI solutions to empower users for their analytical requirements
  • Be a key interface in operationalizing data and analytics on behalf of the business - promote data / analytics capabilities to business stakeholders and educate them on how to leverage these capabilities to achieve business goals
  • Educate and train fellow team members on new data initiatives and techniques
  • Ensure effective data management practices, promoting better understanding of data / analytics and responsible use of data

    This is what you'll need :

  • At least 5 years’ experience in data management disciplines, including data integration, modelling, optimisation, and quality
  • Solid experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with stakeholders across departments and geographic locations
  • Strong experience with various Data Management architectures like Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and the supporting processes like Data Integration, Governance, Metadata Management
  • Foundational knowledge of SQL is essential, and experience with other scripting using languages can be advantageous.
