Overview of the roleBased at Glenbrook and reporting to the Health & Safety Manager New Zealand and Pacific Islands, you will provide health and safety advice within the prescribed area of responsibility at New Zealand Steel and work on the delivery of agreed plans and goals with an overall focus on improving and then sustaining the wellbeing and safety of our employees.
Key focus areas for this role include : Continuous improvement of the safety culture within the prescribed plant of responsibility at New Zealand SteelProviding expert advice to business leaders on all elements of the health and safety function.
Ensure the implementation of the NZPI Health and Safety business plan and strategy.Development and implementation of continuous improvement programmes in conjunction with Health and Safety Manager NZPIShare responsibility with Health and Safety Manager NZPI in accountability to achieve a zero-
harm workplaceEnsuring compliance to Legislative and BlueScope Corporate requirementsEnsuring alignment between the wider NZPI business and on matters of Health and SafetyAbout the personWe are looking for someone who is passionate about health and safety, who is agile and can shift between strategy and operational as required.
