eastern Community Health Teams (Home Health Care Howick) has 2.0FTE (40 hour) position for a Health Assistant to work as part of its interdisciplinary health team supporting nursing and allied health members.
This position is based in Botany and, initially will be a Monday to Friday role but applicants need to be prepared in the future to cover a service from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 7 a.
m. and 9 p.m. In this important role you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients in their own home and community.
The successful candidate will be required to work from a strength based approach; focusing on engaging clients and working in a way that meets their cultural needs and supports attainment of the client’s goals.
You will have good observation skills noting changes in the client’s level of function, progress with their plan and reporting this back to the health team.
You will have the support of the interdisciplinary team and access to ongoing professional development and supervision provided by senior colleagues.
