The Role

Reporting to the Country Manager we are currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager who is looking to make an impact at our Auckland DC.

This role will see you directly accountable for all operational, people and financial aspects of the DC, which include storage, customer distribution, intercompany supply to our South Island operations and export markets.

The Tasks

This role could see you working across :

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment with a focus on preventative actions which promote a positive culture towards safety and wellness.
  • Ensure efficient cost management protocols are in place for the Distribution Centre, through analysing weekly, monthly, and annually the financial reports and performance of the site against budget.
  • Manage the team to ensure they communicate effectively with others.
  • Manage and drive operational KPI’s with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Maintain Operations and facility in compliance with legislative and customer driven requirements.
  • Evaluate short-medium term capacity constraints and develop and implement action plan solutions to address.
  • Ensure performance concerns are being addressed and managed in an effective, timely and consistent manner.
  • Support the Warehouse team utilising WMS software and ensuring optimum workflow.
  • The Successful Candidate

  • Strong Warehouse Management experience in a fast paced environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to lead a team in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Operating in an FMCG environment with multiple delivery platforms (pallet sizes)
  • Experience with WMS and ERP systems.
  • Ability to show project management and implementation in current role.
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience or knowledge preferred.
  • Working Knowledge of Food standards (HACCAP)
