About us : healthAlliance is one of New Zealand’s most significant shared services for the health sector. We support the delivery of healthcare to the Northern Region District Health Boards (DHB’s) who collectively form one of New Zealand’s largest IT environments.

About the Role : The IT Service Desk is responsible for providing 1st level desktop, network and application support to 27,500 customers across multiple sites.

The team manage more than 21,000 phone / email / portal contacts per month and are responsible for logging and managing these incidents and requests under an ITIL framework.

The Service Desk provides 24 / 7 support and may require you to complete shift work, although you will predominantly be working Monday - Friday between 7am to 7pm on set shifts.

About you : We need someone who will be responsible for managing all incoming incidents and service requests within our service management tool that's aligned within the ITIL framework.

This is a fast paced and challenging environment where you are expected to understand how the small decisions you make can have a high impact.

To be successful in this role, you will need : Ideally 12 months’ experience in a high volume IT Service Desk enterprise environmentExperience with Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft operating systems and general application supportExcellent written and verbal communicationHighly developed time management and prioritisation skillsThe ability to provide 1st level remote support to all types of customers with varying skill levelsRelevant qualifications in IT, certifications in Microsoft, Citrix and Cisco are advantageousExperience working in a high pressured working environment that is customer focusedWorking in health brings its own special kind of reward and we’re passionate about it.
