The Academic Committees and Services Office is part of the Division of Student and Academic Services and provides effective, efficient and compliant academic and committee administrative and advisory services for central University committees.
The Office provides specialist advice and support to a range of committees and ensures the University meets its obligations for a range of activities.
Reporting to the Manager, Academic Committees & Services, the Senior Administrator provides proactive and efficient coordination, administration, and support for a portfolio of committees, boards and working parties, as well as academic matters such as the development and modification of academic programmes.
Your Skills and Experience
Success in this role requires prior experience working in a busy and / or complex administration role where high levels of customer service delivery are expected.
Experience in the administration and servicing of formal meetings is also required. You will also be expected to be able to understand and appreciate the nature of animal and human research, and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Familiarity with the University of Otago’s programmes, academic structures, and culture would be an advantage, although not essential.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
