The new role of Contracts Manager, Recreation has been created to optimise and enhance the quality of service of Recreation and Facilities Maintenance delivery for Nelson City Council and other Nelmac clients.
This senior role has overall responsibility for the management of key projects within the Nelson region. The scope of the role is broad -
you will manage the delivery of Mowing, Turf Services, Parks & Reserves and Facilities maintenance activities.
Key to your success will also be your ability to lead, develop and promote Nelmac’s recreation services capabilities, ensuring that contractual obligations are met and the highest standards of service are delivered at all times.
With a down to earth, outgoing, approachable interpersonal style you’ll have the ability to influence and engage with people at all levels both internally and externally.
You’ll also enjoy getting to the heart of issues and opportunities to provide pragmatic advice and negotiate solutions that best meet the needs of all parties.
Technical and industry related experience in amenity horticulture and operations management combined with a relevant tertiary qualification is preferred however applications from outside the industry are also encouraged.
