Reporting to the National Transport Manager, this is an exciting opportunity in Domestic Freight Forwarding for someone who thrives on challenges and excels while working in a diverse and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities & Duties

As the Transport Support Centre Manager you will :

  • Be establishing and leading a team of passionate, service and compliance focussed professionals in a busy 24 hour support centre driving for continuous improvement and results
  • Be obsessed with safety and compliance
  • Be supporting and monitoring linehaul operations across the network ensuring KPIs achieved
  • Have an eye for detail and timeliness administratively
  • Have an understanding of the nuances in the transport industry
  • Have a customer (internal and external) focus delivering high standards of support and service
  • The preferred hours for this position is :

  • Normal business hours between 07 : 00 & 18 : 00 but ability to be flexible to ensure contact centre is managed
  • To be successful in this role :

  • You will have a good knowledge of the transport industry or transferable skills to make a difference
  • You will need to be able to work effectively as an individual, as part of a team and the ability to direct others building a high performance team.
  • Have effective communication skills
  • Have the ability to maintain an excellent relationship with our internal and external customers to influence positive results for the business and customers alike.
  • Be comfortable working in large multi - cultural teams
  • Be self-motivated with strong planning and time management skills
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure
  • Be organised and have attention to detail
  • Additionally you will take pride in your work and always work towards improvement in performance for yourself and your team.
