Community Health Worker Coordinator Auckland Sexual Health Services
As the coordinator of the education unit at Auckland Sexual Health Services you will have three main areas of focus :
training institutes, tertiary providers, schools, community organisations and iwi based providers within the Auckland regional area.
Āhurutanga, Rangatiratanga, Mōhiotanga and Manaakitanga are the four guiding values that underpin the education unit’s practise.
Professional and effective communication is a must, and you'll need to be able to do so with varied age groups, walks of life and internal / external agencies.
There is also an expectation that you will be able to create and nurture relationships within the communities the Education Unit work with, therefore culturally appropriate engagement experience is desired.
Actively creating networks with public and sexual / reproductive health organisations regionally and nationally is also an integral part of the role.
A relevant qualification related to this area of work would be advantageous (youth work, education, nursing, social work) as is previous engagement with the PSSP programme and evidence of previous facilitation work.
However, we are looking for a star that will fit within and lead a small team, while still being able to shine. This is may be a full or part time permanent role.
