  • Manage and drive the Finance functions in New Zealand in conjunction with the ANZ Finance team
  • Lead, grow, and develop a strong Finance function to ensure both sound accounting and controlling policies and practices and effective financial support to the business
  • Drive the maintenance of financial control of the local entity including Fixed Assets, expense control and compliance with company policies, in particular trade spend
  • Establish appropriate understanding and awareness of financial performance indicators at all levels of the organisation
  • Provide financial leadership to the organisation and drive actions for improvement in return in investment, cost efficiency, profitability and net working capital
  • Co-ordinate monthly financial close and reporting to local management
  • Build and maintain effective relationships within the company at local and international levels (internally and externally) to support the objectives of the country and wider Finance Organisation, this includes Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, Treasury, Corporate Reporting, Internal Audit and Merger and Acquisition teams
  • Work in partnership with all levels of the ANZ Finance shared services functions operating out of Sydney, to ensure successful outcomes on all key finance processes that impact the NZ business.
  • These include receivables, payables, payroll, monthly reporting, planning and forecasting

  • Role & Responsibilities :

  • Is this You?

  • Minimum of tertiary qualifications in Finance, Maths or related area.
  • Recognised Finance Accountancy qualification
  • Minimum 5 years proven expertise at leading and managing Finance teams
  • Knowledge of other parts of Finance advantageous (Legal, Corporate Reporting, and Internal Audit)
  • Proven experience in leading, and developing teams, able to effectively influence people of all levels to drive change and improvement
  • Strong ability to review and identify issues and opportunities in the business and get things done
  • Strong analytical skills including commercial, financial acumen and budget management
